Christmas Box House

Many years ago my husband and I became aware of a place where children go when they can't be home. Maybe there is abuse, drugs, their parents have been taken to jail...unimaginable circumstances. We asked our small neighborhood to pitch in some items for the children. Pencils, socks, stuffed animals, puzzles, jump ropes. We dropped off our humble offering on a dark cold evening just before Christmas.

I couldn't imagine what experiences these children must have witnessed to end up here. And worse, what if this place didn't exist..where would they have gone?

This place is called The Christmas Box House. It provides a home when there is no home. It provides safety when they don't know what safety feels like. It surrounds them with people that care. And maybe for the first time they realize they matter.

This short film shows the reality of what happens when children are removed. Surely we can do better, and THE CHRISTMAS BOX is providing that hope.

I am proud to be supporting such an incredible charity. I hope that through raising awareness of what is possible, more places like this will exist and more children can know that they matter.

They can know what JOY is, and know how to CREATE JOY despite the Flaws.
