We've all probably heard of "White Elephant," which is kid of a fun spin off of 'Secret Santa'. We love having a White Elephant party, so we hope you will too! White Elephant.

To start, you'll want to get a group of family or friends together and decide on a price for the gifts everyone will bring. Next, set a date and tell everyone to bring their gift wrapped but NOT tagged. Draw numbers to see who goes first and you're ready to start! The first person will choose a random gift, unwrap it and let everyone see what it is. The person who drew #2 will go next and decide whether to open another mystery gift or steal the first person's gift. This continues until the all the gifts are unwrapped, then the first person decides if they want to keep their gift or steal someone else's. 

White Elephant Fun Variations.

There are so many different ways to do a White Elephant gift exchange! Here are some of our favorite ideas:

Theme your gifts something different every year! Maybe one year everyone is going off to college, so set the theme "college" or "dorm accessories" Another year you can do ONLY "As Seen on TV" gifts (these can get pretty interesting - and hilarious!) 

Three strikes and you're out.

If your gift gets stolen three times, you're out! This makes the stakes even higher when opening a gift or when someone is deciding who's gift to steal!!

Don't open the gifts until the very end. 

This is so fun because no one actually has any idea what the gifts are until the game is over. You can even wrap gifts to make it look like they're huge or really heavy and trick others into thinking it's a specific gift. The look on everyone's faces at the end is absolutely priceless!
